L’université de Hambourg cherche un post-doc qui aura la tâche d’un « 
coordinateur scientifique ». On cherche une personne qui a une certaine 
expérience en mathématiques ( le poste est assorti d'obligations d'enseignement 
dans le département de mathématiques) mais qui a un doctorat en sociologie, 
philosophie, histoire des mathématiques ou enseignement des mathématiques. Il 
s'agit d'un poste à 75% pour trois ans, à partir du 1er janvier 2022.

(between EUR 3,055.73 and EUR 4,404.71 per month gross salary, before taxes and

Start date: 1 January 2022, contract for 36 months.

Duties primarily include teaching and research. Research associates may also 
pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Specific Duties. The main responsibilities of the appointee are research and 
teaching, in particular, the scientific coordination of the CIPSH Chair 
Diversity of Mathematical Research Cultures and Practices (DMRCP), a 
cooperation between the Faculty for Mathematics, Informatics, and Natural 
Sciences at the Universität Hamburg and International de Philosophie et des 
Sciences Humaines (CIPSH). DMRCP is a global research network of researchers 
from many disciplines (e.g., philosophy, sociology, mathematics education, 
history of mathematics, cognitive psychology) working on mathematical research 
cultures and practices using multidisciplinary approaches.

The tasks of the appointee include

 (1) active participation in the research activities of the network,

 (2) the coordination of the network, including application for external 
funding, activity reports, and organisation of scientific events such as 
lecture series, workshops, summer schools or conferences,

 (3) teaching three hours per week during term time (30 weeks per year)

Requirements.

A university degree in a relevant field. A Master's degree in a subject 
relevant for the topic of the network and several years of research experience 
in the field of the network; a relevant doctorate is desirable. Excellent 
knowledge of university-level mathematics. Work experience in research 
organization such as experience in the organization of international research 
events. Fluent English (spoken and written). Meticulous and responsible work 
habits. Social competency and ability to encourage cooperation between the 
project partners.
