Unfortunately, there's no documented process for upgrading it. If you don't need the student data to be migrated, I would recommend exporting the courses and importing them into a new (dogwood) instance of edX. The export OLX has been relatively stable and any compatibility issues can be addressed by editing the XML and JSON.
