Hi all,

As part of our roadmap to bring ES2015+ to edx-platform, yesterday a change was
merged to master that upgrades ESLint to a version that requires Node 4 or
greater to run. If you are still using a Eucalyptus (or earlier) installation,
pulling from master and running npm install will now fail. (Eucalyptus only
includes Node 0.10).

We recommend that you update to Ficus (the current supported release) to
continue using ESLint. If for some reason you are unable to update right now
but still need to use edx-platform master, it’s possible to upgrade a
Eucalyptus devstack to use Node 6 manually, although this process doesn’t work
for everyone and is only advised as a short-term fix.

Thank you,

—
