I had discussed it with Steven both in Stanford last year and Madrid this year. We were planning to switch to Stanford's version sooner than later, but as long as the merge will still allow us to produce PDF certificates in Hawthorn and beyond, we're ok with it.
It was on our roadmap a few weeks ago when I thought the merge would end up in Ginkgo, but when it didn't I put it in my personal backlog. I might have to push it back to the top. We will look into it and test it in our test environment later this year.
