Is edX not eligible ? I think edX will get a lot of lifelong contributors through GSoC. Students would want to take courses on the platform they contributed to and students would be likely to contribute to the platform that helped them learn so much. It works both ways :) If edX was an organization on edX, it would be an awesome opportunity for both students and edX. Afterall, edX really wants more and more students to learn, right ?
