Howdy, I'm the new community lead for Open edX, and I wanted to take a moment to say "hello".
For those who don’t know me, I’m a longstanding open source community guy, going back to my days at VA Linux and SourceForge.net <http://sourceforge.net/>. I’ve been at a few startups, including Hyperic and Gluster, and then went on to Red Hat and EMC for a few years. I just started at edX this month, and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to push this community above and beyond. To start, I'm really looking forward to attending my first Open edX Conference in Montreal. I trust that some of you have already submitted to our CFP? If not, now's your chance! Our deadline is Friday, March 2 (this week): - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTdNjOSJK_k4AwOlIySISvsGS93aFW8vwjGwVlhQmpLbwsug/viewform We're particularly interested in workshops and tutorials, which are in-depth talks of 90 minutes or 3 hours. But in general, it would be great to hear from you about what you'd like to talk about or hear at the conference. For more details, we'll be posting updates on the conference at https://con.openedx.org/ Looking forward to interacting with y'all here and on Slack. Thanks!
