I just had a try with a ralink2790 card, and wifi works well in wep/wpa mode. The solaris build I tried is snv_110 and snv_111. I wonder did you use wifi driver from SUNWrwn package(v1.1) here, http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/rwn ?
