*I found EEEbios which can downgrate BIOS,but Eee wont work same,I got same message Eee cant find module file. I hope OpenSolaris upgrade version -snv 100 or later - would work on my Eee 701. my blog about this issue;http://masafumi-ohta.blogspot.com/2008/10/eee-701-wont-work-on-snv99.html Regards -masafumi On 2008/10/24, at 7:10, Masafumi Ohta wrote: > > Hi > > I am really sorry I mistook about error messages, > Seeing error message in detail, the grub found kernel file but > couldn't find the module file,so I gets as follows; > > ===== > > module $/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive > loading '/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive'.... > > Error 15:File not found > > Press an key to continue.. > > ===== > > and then stop booting:( > > I much appreciate if you could tell some ideas:) > > Regards; > > -masafumi > On 2008/10/23, at 2:54, Masafumi Ohta wrote: >> Hi >> >> I tried to install OpenSolaris build 99 on my Eee 701.it fail to >> boot up and >> says kernel and module files are not found (error 15) and then it >> stops to boot-up. >> at first time I thought It is gconfd problems (I wrote indiana- >> disuss about it) >> but It forgot reading update problems -it can be ignored while >> installation. >> >> ====== >> >> 3740 installer runs into GNOME failures in bld 99 >> http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=3740 >> >> When starting the installer from the live CD, an error message >> box is displayed >> >> An error occurred while loading or saving configuration >> information for gui-install.
