Dear all,

There is plenty of excitement stirring after President Rosenbaum’s email about
the campus opening up. I want to express some changes and updates regarding our
Moore building.

  * All signs providing direction through the building have been removed. You
may now move through the building in any direction that you need to go.
  * All stairwells are open in both up and down directions.
  * All entrances can be used by any group.
  * The elevator and restrooms no longer need to be single occupancy.

Additionally, in preparation for June 1, the date that the Institute is lifting
several restrictions regarding building occupancy, I would like to summarize
what we understand will be allowed.

  1. Offices - Fully vaccinated individuals, with supervisor permission, may
return to their offices. When alone, an occupant may remove their mask. In the
case of shared offices, we are limited to 50% occupancy, e.g., a four-person
office may be occupied by two people at a time.

  1. Labs may be occupied at one person per 150 square feet. Masks are
required.

  2. Shared spaces (conference rooms, classrooms, atriums, lounges) are
limited to 50% occupancy, and masks must be worn. For your reference:
139 – 8 people
239 – 10 people
B270 – 10 people
B280 – 18 people

  1. QR Code If you have already received your QR code confirming your
vaccination, feel free to send it my way so that we can pre-clear you for any
upcoming departmental events. If you have not yet uploaded documentation of
your vaccination, you can do so here:
https://www.imss.caltech.edu/services/administrative-applications/my-covid-19-vaccination-documentation

Guidance from the Institute is expected to be updated often; I will send
updates as they are known. Please let me know if you have any questions or
concerns.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Angie
