Focus Group – new library catalog and discovery platform coming in September

Some of you may be familiar with TIND<https://caltech.tind.io/>, our library
catalog you can use to look up items (esp books and ebooks) in our library
collection. We’re getting ready to launch a new catalog and discovery platform,
FOLIO / EDS<https://www.library.caltech.edu/folio-announcement>, this September.

We’d like to invite you to join Caltech Library staff for a focus group about
our search and discovery tools on Tuesday July 13, 11AM-12:30PM. Your feedback
will help inform the configuration of FOLIO / EDS.

You’ll have the opportunity to share how your specific information needs are
being met in the library’s existing search and discovery interfaces like the
library catalog as well as help identify areas where we can make improvements
to our new platform. Participants will receive a $20 gift card to Bookshop.org
where purchases support a local bookstore of your choosing.

Please let us know you’re interested by completing the EDS Focus Group
form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScE5fIig6nO6WX6xmTiEaHDUCRFcdQlrInZXt1Y7-qFoWovHA/viewform?usp=sf_link>.
