Dear Angie:
Thanks for the email. This is a surprise. You have been truly amazing
even though you started with us only two years ago. You learned things
very fast and stayed on top of things always. You very also extremely
nice and patient with all our requests and demands.
We will really miss you.You are truly a role model for people who take
on this kind of a challenging job!
Many best wishes for success in your future career, and for continued
health for you and family!

Dear faculty,
I write to let you know that my family will be moving to Ohio in
mid-August to begin a new chapter closer to family. The pandemic and a
major health scare (of a family member) have caused us to reevaluate
our priorities. After 12 amazing years of California living, we
believe it’s time to move closer and to embrace time with family,
while we still have it.
I am so grateful for this job, for the opportunity, for the sense of
pride that I’ve felt working for such a prestigious institution, and
for the opportunity to work with and for each one of you. The work
that each one of you do is incredible and it is an honor to help
provide the support that keeps your work going.
While my family’s plans are not fully formed, we do plan to move
mid-August in order to help our kids start the new school year on
time. I wish the best for the department and have let Azita know that
Iwill be happy to continue to work and provide support remotely, as
well as fly back to assist with a smooth transition when a replacement
has been chosen.
Thank you for the way that you have welcomed me to the department.
This has truly been an honor.
Sincerely,
Angie
