Dear Caltech faculty and instructors, I'd like to invite you to join me at the CTLO's 6th Faculty Summer Short Course (FSSC) on (Re)Designing your Class. The FSSC on Course Design has been developed for faculty who are either teaching a new course in the upcoming academic year, or who desire to re-think or re-design a course that they have previously taught. The FSSC is a 2-part short course offered annually since 2016, addressing the process of backwards design from start to finish. We’ll discuss strategies for engaging students, incorporating technology in the classroom, creating an inclusive classroom environment, developing learning outcomes, assessing students and transitioning back to in-person classes. This course will be held on September 7th and 9th online from 9am-11am.
