Greetings,

I am running an Endian FW release 1.1rc8 and was using OpenVPN successfully
for many months.

Just recently clients attempting to connect to the VPN are being denied
access due to authentication errors.

The specific error in the OpenVPN log is:

<username>/66.177.212.59:2893 TLS Auth Error: could not write
username/password to file: openvpn_2775_1860.tmp

So I went to find out why a file could not be written. Assuming that I must
be out of HDD space somewhere I checked out the Disk Usage report and see
that:

/dev/hda4 mounted on /var is 100% used. It has 987M of space.

OK, so I once attempted to learn Linux and never had to use it so it never
really sunk in, so I am a little familiar with the OS, but only enough to
not be intimidated by it.

I'm guessing that there is some logging feature turned on that has filled up
the 987M (hard to believe) and now other features are impacted because they
need this space as well.

What I need is a kind soul to GENTLY take me by the hand and help me through
identifying the source of the files filling up this partition and help me
flush them out so I can get my VPN functional again.

Maybe the VPN issue has nothing to do with /dev/hda4 being full. If not,
then troubleshooting the cause for the TLS Auth errors would be appreciated.

Regards,

Nathan.
