Betreff: [Efw-user] 1:1 NAT
I have been looking at various firewall distributions (pfSense, SmoothWall,
IPcop, etc.) and so far IPcop has given me *almost* everything I've been
looking for.
The one thing it's missing is the ability to do 1:1 NAT. For example:
-------------------------------
Firewall box:
RED network: 10.10.10.1 (default), 10.10.10.2 (alias)
GREEN network: 192.168.0.1
ORANGE network: 192.168.1.1
-------------------------------
Server:
ORANGE network: 192.168.1.2
-------------------------------
While it's possible to set the firewall to deliver everything that comes in
on port 80 to the 10.10.10.2 address to the server, what I also need is for
any outgoing traffic from the server to use the 10.10.10.2 internet address.
Does Endian have the ability to NAT outgoing traffic to different IP
addresses or will everything always go out on the default RED IP? I know
that it is possible to do this with a manual edit of the firewall rules, but
I'm looking for a system where this is configurable from the GUI.
pfSense has this capability, but it lacks the Email and content filtering
capabilities and I really don't want yet another box to do those functions.
Thanks in advance.
