I am monitoring endian systems by using nagios over ssh with my own
handcrafted plugins. writing nagios plugins is pretty easy. I've never
tried the nrpe plugin.

Hello,
I searched through the forums and cannot find if anyone has successfully
implemented the nagios nrpe client on endian. I would like to receive text
messages and/or email alerts for the following:
CPU usage - above 85% for a sustained amount of time
Disk space usage - if it fails below 15% due to logs filling up , etc
check_swap
I have nagios monitoring all my other linux and windows systems with the
exception of endian
Since this is based on RedHat Enterprise Linux, I tried the following:
smart install
http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/nagios-nrpe/nagios-nrpe-2.5.2-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm
