the thing that you are asking for is proxy log not the traffic log. traffic
log is just usage of internet line
var/log/squid/access.log
you need to take a routine backup of this log file if you wish to take
backup of log files
but whats the usage of taking your log backup daily when it stores log for
entire year. you can do a 6 monthly or quarterly manual bakcup of log.
