I had it up and running in no time as well. Then I installed it on the free Citrix XenServer (Express Edition) where it runs just fine. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the xs-tools installed or a xen kernel, but it doesn't matter - works ok without it.
There is one cosmetic bug - in Proxy> Configuration > Bypass / Banned Sources and Destinations - there is a glob of text that does not belong there, but it seems to work anyway. And there is a bug in Proxy > Content Filter > URL Blacklist > Uncategorized - this selection is enabled (red) and cannot be disabled. One other potential problem - if you make a change on a page that requires that you click the Apply button that appears at the top, it allows you to leave that page without applying the change. So if you don't notice that you need to click Apply, your changes won't happen. I built the server and took it out to the clinic yesterday. They have about 30 users. Along with EFW 2.2r3, I have SME Server running as a vm on the same box to filter their mail, which then passes it to MS Exchange. Works a treat... Any server that takes 20 or 30 minutes to boot has hardware problems... -----Original Message----- From: Mike Tremaine [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, October 12, 2008 10:40 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Efw-user] EFW 2.2rc3 install I just wanted to say that I sat down this morning and installed the efw2.2rc3 iso and it took about 5 mins. No real problems, about the only thing I ran into was br0 being attached to eth0 [which makes sense] but since I was using a qemu-kvm virtual setup I needed br0 on eth1 to reach the box. Simple enough I just edited /var/efw/ethernet/br0 and restarted it. Then ran through the setup and off we go. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
