Hi Mike,

Please forgive me for mailing you directly, I am just very stumped at the moment. I have installed both Endian v2.2 RC2 and RC3, and your sarg rpm, but I have the same error – the timestamp in the squid log is not in the std unix date format, so all the data from sarg is translated as 1 Jan 1970.

Example of squid access.log:
Dec 10 00:00:32 cytrus-userfw squid[3857]: 1228860032.659 855 192.168.1.250 TCP_MISS/304 483 GET http:// pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/badge/checkout_999999.gif - DIRECT/74.125.45.166 text/html

Could you possibly please assist me in either changing the logging of squid or changing sarg to correctly interpret the date?

Kind regards
Werner

Since I haven't tried it yet I'm not sure but another user sent me this message a while back...

Hi,
my rpm work on endian 2.2, i have rebuild your source rpm using rpmbuild --rebuild sarg....src.rpm
but you must change the following lines in /etc/sarg/sarg.conf :
-access_log /var/log/squid/access.log
+access_log /var/log/squid/access.log_short

-dansguardian_conf /etc/dansguardian/dansguardian.conf
+#dansguardian_conf /etc/dansguardian/dansguardian.conf

I'm sorry for my bad English

Try changing the sarg.conf as he did and see if it helps. I cc'd the list so others can see the answer.
