I recently downloaded and installed the efw 2.2 iso for a
couple of locations, and I never had to update clamd. 
 
So, I was thinking it wasn't necessary to update, but
apparently, the ppl working at Endian have updated the iso.
 
They do a great job over there...

Use the upgrade procedure that John Marotta pointed out
rather than the procedure in the thread I showed you.
John's solution is much better.
