Hi all,

Initially I upgraded to 2.4 from 2.3 using efw-upgrade, then install the
EFW-COMMUNITY-2.4-201005280528 build provided by Christian Graffer and
finally I installed the original EFW-COMMUNITY-2.4-201005251929 a few
moments ago.

In the last EFW-COMMUNITY-2.4-201005251929 install my USB Micro$oft keyboard
is not functional, although un-plugging and plugging it back in shows the
kernel finding new hardware in the system log. (I didn't specify any boot
parameters like 'nousb' etc when booting from the CD and legacy USB support
is enabled in the BIOS). This is a bit annoying, but not the real problem I
have.

In all three installations I get the following error periodically in the
system logs:

fetchipac (10032) segfault at 1 ip b7682e16 sp bf8c0718 error 4 in
libc-2.3.4.so[b762f000+114000]

When manually running 'fetchipac' I get a warning that ipac-ng chains or
rules are corrupted and that I should use the -S switch and when using -S I
get a "file not found" error as below:

r...@firewall:~ # fetchipac

ipac-ng chains or rules corrupted, fix this with fetchipac -S

r...@firewall:~ # fetchipac -S

Couldn't load target `standard':/lib/iptables/libipt_standard.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

Does anyone know the cause of this and what the implication of this is on
the security of my network?

I don't have a complicated or virtualised setup. it is a full install on a
P4 3.0Ghz HT CPU with an Intel Motherboard and 1GB RAM. I do however
connect to a openVPN network on the 1.0.0.0/8 range as a client using the
standard "OpenVPN client (Gw2Gw)" settings under the VPN menu. I doubt this
will be the cause of the problem as the VPN firewall is disabled.

Any help will be appreciated

Regards
