I got to the site and tested this today and removing the firewall rules did
fix the problem of gaining access without a proxy configured. However, I am
still having authentication errors. When setup for NTLM I still get
prompted for user/pass and no login works. Just to make sure it wasn't an
NTLM issue I set the auth back to internal NCSA auth and created a couple of
local users and access policies. When I try to access the internet I
receive the login prompt the local logins don't work either. Although I am
unsure the format for user/pass in this config concerning the "domain" to
use.
