Hello,
I am running EFW since a couple of yearusing the SMTP PROXY, recently I
updated to verison 2.4.0.
I have set the new 2.4.0 feature:
"Recipient address verification" in PROXY - SMTP - ADVANCED - MAIL
SERVER SETTING.
I am experiencing a strange behavior while an host is sending mail to an
unknown account: EFW gives back a 450 error code and not a 550 so the
host will keep trying many times.
Here is an example from the log of the host sending mail to EFW:
11:18:04.60 2 DEQUEUER [35884528] SMTP(xxx.it)[email protected] delayed:
ef:450 4.1.1 <[email protected]>: Recipient address rejected: undeliverable
address: host 82.145.xxx.yyy[82.145.xxx.yyy] said: 550 [email protected]
unknown user account (in reply to RCPT TO command)
82.145.xxx.yyy is the mail server for the incoming domain xxx.it, it
gives back 550 but EFW gives back 450
Do you have any suggestion how to amend this problem?
