I've been looking into this further. A few related questions maybe someone
can answer that would help:

(1) Is it possible to install other Linux RPMs in Endian? I gave it a shot
and got errors so I'm guessing it's either not possible or not easy.

(2) Is there an easy way to set up a development environment? Intel has
available Linux driver code that matches the kernel version but it has
to be built. I'm also not sure that would buy me anything since the
     kernel sees the NIC already.

(3) Is there a hardware compatibility list somewhere? I might just pick
another network card rather than spend too much time down this path.
I need a multi-port card, probably with 4 ports to handle the interfaces
I want. My preference from past experience is Intel NICs if they're
     supported.
