Robert,

I consistently get errors trying to unpack your version 1.1. 
  Specifically:

$ tar -xzf efw-devel-1.1.tar.gz
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
$

I've downloaded it several times and tried difference 
computers -- always the same error.
