Increasingly the Internet and the services built upon it are becoming a core part of the digital economy in various nations. A growing number of B2B and B2C transactions are being conducted over the Internet, and often traversing national boundaries. This IIJ Special Issue is devoted to the broad area of IP Networking and Services, and solicits research papers in this area. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following topics: - Green ICT - Switching and routing - Cloud and grid computing - Network security - Next-Generation networks - Ad-Hoc and sensor networks - Fault tolerance and survivability - Mobile and wireless Networks - Network protocols and algorithms - Mesh and grid networks - Web 2.0 and Web Services - Network management and monitoring - Optical networking - E-Commerce & E-Government - Content Delivery Networks - Voice over IP - IP network rollout in developing nations - Network support for emergency & disaster relief - High performance computing - Network measurement and statistics - Network simulation and modeling - Distributed networks - Identity Management Guest Editors The Special Issue solicits papers in the area of IP Networking & Services, though other papers are welcome for the future issues of the journal.
