Well, I have checked the EJBOss server (I'm even on their mailing list),
but I'm not particularly impressed with it. The design is not
thought-through (the GUI is terrible, and the internals seems
unstructured) and usage is too hard. My design philosophy is to make
something that is easy to use, flexible to the extreme (every single
thing is pluggable, you could even plugin EJBoss as EJB container if you
want) and follows public API:s as much as possible (the kernel is
entirely based on BeanContext API, and JavaBeans for UI), etc. By having
these design goals I hope to create something which works well for the
intended audience (newbies and developers mostly), and which can adapt
to new situations (plugin whatever you need).

Indeed, BMP is supported. :-) I think I made an example bean that uses
BMP that is packaged with the server.
