Somewhat off-topic, but ...

I use VisualAge Java and I love it. I have a dual P400 with 256MB RAM.
VAJ is a resource hog and was sluggish on a single cpu P266. It is very
powerful, has a very different paradigm from every other Javav IDE
(non-file,
repository based). It's very usable, great for managing large projects with
enormous code bases, has a powerful GUI builder, is very, very stable
and doesn't support Java 1.2 yet. VAJ is too radical for some, but possibly
the way ofthe future. Those who use it seem to love it. You can download the

entry level version for free. It takes a couple of days to get the hang of
how
it works.

I gave up on Cafe because it seemed buggy and ugly, wasteful of screen space
and unfriendly. But it is very popular. I thinki JBuilder is a better
implementation
of eth same sort of tool.
