Ejipt, our EJB server/container, implements JTA1.0 (both local and
distributed). And you can hardly call Ejipt much of an overhead at less than
300Kb. With our upcoming update, we make the standard
javax.transaction.TransactionManager JTA API available to access the
underlying Tx engine.
