        download Ejipt and explore the collection (set) based stuff. it
extends jdk2 collections, just as you can if you want to implement this sort
of thing yourself (even in jdk1.1)

        no magic here, just grab a (or the current) connection and make
calls on it. i like to extend a data-layer in my ejb's and this
functionality derives from that layer. this sort of thing is typically
vendor specific. pick a vendor or two and investigate their examples and
generated code for insight into this.

give it a try http://www.valto.com. it's tiny to download and easy to test.
a new version (1.2) will be available very soon (this month methinks) so you
might want to investigate the new features.
