Who is doing to RI? Will it be opensource?
I've been following the discussions on the Jakarta mailing lists at
Apache.org, and I'm very excited about the future with Jakarta, not only
because it will be a great server, but because it will be opensource.
Have a question about how a Servlet container works? Pop open the source and
see how Jakarta does it. This would also have the added advantage of
lowering the bar for entrance, both for the EJB developer and for the EJB
server developer. For the server developer, you could just take the RI code
and add some cool features to improve performance. For the EJB developer, if
you don't understand what's going on with your EJB, you can trace right into
the server code of the RI...
