Hi,

        >Is it possible in EJB1.1, ..., for a

that
        >of the client or the system identity? Using JAAS?

according to the the public draft 3 delegation is handled in a container
specific way. The only delegation strategy every container needs to
implement is the passing of the callers identity. "The EJB Container
Provider" is responsible for providing the deployment tools that allow the
Deployer to configure the principal delegation for calls from one enterprise
bean to another" (Page 240).
So if you write a bean needing delegation, you have to look for a Container
implementation supporting your needs. I am not very happy with this
solution.

      >or will it be possible in a future rev.,

No idea..

By the way, the system identity does not exist anymore in 1.1.
