And how does this differ from "don't worry the EJB server will handle it"?
After all we are just talking about where the book keeping is being done.
My point is simply this, the EB framework is too heavy wait for every fine
grained object to be an EB. Let an EB be a graph of related objects, where
the root object owns the life cycle of its children (e.g. Order->OrderItem).
And finally there are several OR mapping products that can do this
reasonably efficiently, and they are more mature technologies than any EJB
server! Lets face EJB is new, and some of the OR mapping vendors have been
at this a long time.

The proof is in the pudding as they say. My prejudicous on this are a matter
of public record. We agree to disagree. I do respect your opinion.

Again OR mapping is the more mature technology here. The standardization
issue however is very real. I believe one of the main goals of EJB 2.0 will
be focused in this area. You have a point there.

Vs. magically efficient implementations of the heavy weight EB framework? I
don't see how my magic is any different from yours? Your magic claims to
makes the EB achitecture more efficient than seems possible. My magic, say
EB's are good, but lets make some good judgment calls here.

We ain't sleeping either! Isn't competition grand?
