I have created a visual editor for EJB1.1 XML descriptor files, called
EJX ("Enterprise Java XML editor"). It is released as OpenSource (yes,
full source is included), and the beans that implement the XML-file
editing is packaged separately from the visual part so that you may
include them in your own apps, possibly doing some scripting and
similar. For example, the EJBoss server uses these classes internally to
retrieve metadata about the deployed beans.
