Hi!

As defined in the EJB 1.1 specification file I/O is not allowed. This is
ok.

However, this has the side effect that resources that are packaged with
the beans (i.e. accessible through the classpath that is the transitive
closure of the deployed JAR) cannot be accessed through the
Class.getResource and Class.getResourceAsStream methods.

Is this intentional?

Should the restrictions be relaxed so that files(/resources) that have
been packaged with the beans are available through the above methods?
IMHO they do not compromise the portability of the beans.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

regards,
  Rickard
