We are not making any JNI calls ourselves. We are using Sun's J2EE RI.
We will try to reinstall the JVM and then try our code.

Unless you are making JNI calls yourself, you should
not be getting any seg faults. This can only be a
problem in the JVM itself. When you say J2EE - are you
using the SUN RI or another vendors?
