Hi Hinrich,     To me the code looks fine, after adding in the "implements Serializable"  - although it's early hours in the morning in Sydney! :-)   Make sure your class paths are clean, and not containing old code. I dont have the oracle server here so I cannot run it - its also implemented on VisiBroker 3.4, whilst IAS 4.0 is implemented on VisiBroker 4.0 (CORBA 2.3) - so there are some differences between this and IAS 4.0.   Is the server reporting any errors/exceptions?- can you debug the bean until it returns back to the client?     kind regards,     -Robert ----- Original Message ----- From: Hinrich M.
