Hi Kaj-

TheServerSide.com is a good site for EJB info as Floyd points out. I'd
encourage you to also take a look at The Developer's Center for Java
Success at http://www.javasuccess.com/ which is a J2EE oriented portal with
lots of resources that you might find useful. Among other things, we provide:

- white papers on design and architecture topics, such as "iCommerce Design
Issues and Solutions" (see http://www.javasuccess.com/design_wp.html)

- a repository of patterns addressing J2EE and distributed object computing
in general, including a subscription service where you can sign up to be
mailed new design patterns on a periodic basis. The patterns we have
posted to date are but a small part of a much larger pattern
language...i.e., lots more to come.

- you can listen to a number of archived "online seminars" given by Colleen
Roe, Chief Internet Architect of GemStone Systems. The seminars topics
include "Enabling Your Domain Model: The Other 70% of Your e-Business
Application" and "Best Practices for Building J2EE Applications", though I
believe there might be others and I'm sure Colleen will be doing new
seminars from time to time.

- PLUS you can download a fully-functioning 300+ class/interface example
J2EE application *with all the source code*. It's a B2C app in the online
grocery ordering domain (similar to maybe PeaPod or WebVan if you're
familiar with those). We built this app quite a while ago and though it's
a bit dated in the JSP area (it uses 0.91), there's still a lot there to
soak up and think about. We hope to update the JSP stuff soon but
priorities have dictated otherwise to date.

Anyways, have a look at javasuccess.com!

Best Regards,

Dave Muirhead
