Of course, ejbStore&ejbLoad are called AFTER the DB has been updated.(well ,
maybe I'm wrong WHEN exactly); but the container will interact with the db
anyway; you can't override it. Well, YOU CAN, it's called BMP.... and you
would have flat bean properties.

Should I use CMP or BMP for entity beans that wrap dependent objects ?
The problem is that I want to use the benefits of CMP for the flat bean =
properties, but the dependent objects must be made persistent in a =
customized way using simple JDBC calls. Does it violate any =
specificytion or known good practise to persist the dependent objects =
using ejbLoad / ejbStore callback methods in CMP ?
