Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm glad you clarified because I didn't
notice that subtle difference. I had specified the class correctly, but I
also had the erroneous entry that you have pointed out. I guess next time I
won't leave out the deployment descriptors when posting a problem such as
this.
Now to see if it deploys and runs correctly.

I am following up my earlier message just to clarify:
The problem should be occuring because you probably have the
<primkey-field>personid_</primkey-field>
entry specified in your ejb-jar.xml file.
