Lee
There are a couple of issues on Linux.
1. Try editing your hosts file and putting the entry for your machine
(with your actual ip address not 127.0.0.1) first in the file.
2. See the release notes re userid issue. (Below is a post from the inprise
public newsgroup addressing this issue)
Also you will probably get better support by posting your queries to the inprise
newsgroup
in future (as engineering are monitoring this)
