Installing WAS 3.02 on a system running AIX 4.3.4 and running the IBM HTTP 1.3.6 server results in core dump of HTTP server when started after adminclient.sh script *"successfully"* configures WAS server. If WAS plug in is removed (i.e., original conf file restored) HTTP server starts normally but HUP after WAS conf restored repeats core dump. Have seen one other unresolved instance of this in IBM's online tech support web site. Performed the above conf restoral procedure per recommendations of the open incident, which did not succeed either in my install nor in the open issue on the site. Phenomena is the same whether IBM JDK 1.16 or 1.18 is used. Scenario recurs even after all WAS files and HTTP files are completely removed from the system. Has anyone else seen this phenomena and is there a known tweak to correct the core dump? Any suggestions appreciated.
