Yes its possible to map an cmp entity bean to mutliple tables. The support
for this can come from your vendors built-in cmp engine or object/relational
mapping plug in. The Inprise Application Server 4.1 allows you to choose;
both mechanisms support your need. I do not believe that Web Logic's
internal cmp engine supports this so you will need to look at licensing an
addon. Lucky for you or them that they recently acquired TopLink which does
support this.

Subject: MAPPING MORE THAN ONE TABLE IN CMP
Importance: High
Sensitivity: Confidential

Hi All,

I would like to know if it is possible to map two tables in a CMP Entity
Bean.
For a single table, I created weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml file and it is
working fine. If I need to use two tables, how should I modify
weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml file?

Any help is valuable to me.
