I think EJB 2.0 will have a better (and standardized) way for specifying CMP
rules for Finder methods. Right now each EJB server has their own syntax for
specifying finder rules.

Another approach would be to use a Session bean as a facade that does it's
own
queries directly against the database to find the primary keys that are
needed
and then it has a method similar to the FindBy methods of the entity bean.

Subject: Flexible Find Methods

Sometime I have more than one condition to look for. For example,
"Select * from table1 where (a = b) and (b = c) and (d = e). Sometimes
I will have one condition and at other times I will have multiple
conditions. finder Methods on the home interface using CMP doesn't allow
the flexibity since the container manages the SQL internally. Do I have
no other choice than to go BMP, or is there another light at the end of
the tunnel?
