Personally, I would try and avoid applications which use
complex SQL in entity beans. The whole design was initially
intended for a 1-1 mapping between entity beans and database
tables. I would rather create a denormalized layer of tables
which represent my entity beans and use some database replication
mechanism to resolve this layer into the rest of my schema then have
entity beans represent multi-table joins.
