If you are connecting to your company's SMTP server and trying to send to
someone outside the company, the server must be rejecting your "SMTP relay"
requests. This is probably because you have not authenticated yourself to the
server. If you are trying to connect directly to the recipient's SMTP server the
problem is either that the target server has anti-spamming measures in place or
that you have got a bug in your code and you are not finding the server.
Using the company SMTP server is the right approach.
BTW please try to restrict your questions on this list to EJB matters in the
future.
