Hello Kulas,
I'm going to give you the totally prejudiced response since I'm from Lutris,
the sponsor of enhydra.org.
1. There are two versions of Enhydra. Enhydra 3 is pure servlet based. It has
the Enhydra Application Framework which supports 3 tier application
organization. It features Enhydra XMLC which has native support for
HTML, XML, WML, VoiceXML, cHTML (i-mode) devices. It also
has standard servlet/JSP support. It has a graphical (JFC) tool for
auto-generating
Java data logic from a relationship database. It's called DODS and with the
most recently release now works with legacy databases (i.e., no OID column
required). Check out http://www.customatix.com http://themall.earthlink.com
http://www.anywhereyougo.com http://www.everydayoffice.com All built
with Enhydra 3. Great review in WebTechniques magazine at
http://www.webtechniques.com/archives/2001/03/progrevu/
2. The one we're most focused on now is Enhydra 4. Dubbed "Enhydra
Enterprise" it supports the J2EE APIs and a lore more. It will fully support
Enhydra 3 apps. The centerpiece innovation is the Enhydra Services
Architecture. If you can locate the announcement I posted earlier today,
there's a relatively detailed description of it. To make a long story short,
it makes J2EE and other services safe in ASP-demanding environments
where multiple applications (services) and different versions of those
services must ride side-by-side supporting extensive management scruitiny.
Be sure to check out

for much greater detail and pictures.
