When Websphere ships with only EJB 1.0, we bean developers complain about IBM being behind the tech curve. When Weblogic ships with EJB 2.0 patch, we bean developers complain about BEA being too impetuous. Bottom line: customer is always right, and vendor is ALWAYS WRONG! :-) Gene -----Original Message----- From: Cedric Beust [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, May 21, 2001 10:48 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: EJB 2.0 (was RE: Finder methods) > From: A mailing list for Enterprise JavaBeans development > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Evan Ireland > Do they really? Well, we've been offering early implementations of EJB 2.0 for about a year now, and I have yet to see one single request asking us to remove it from our product. On the other hand, since the release of PFD2 a few weeks ago, we've had quite a few requests asking us when we would support local interfaces. Also, if it's any indication, the activity on both our newsgroups and the MVCSoft mailing-list show that there are a lot of people out there who are interested in experimenting with EJB 2.0. Either for their company, or out of pure curiosity, or with a view to providing consulting when the specification comes out and have a headstart over the others, or for who knows what other reasons. -- Cedric =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff EJB-INTEREST".
