Off the top of my head, I'd say "no" since I can certainly telnet via
terminal to a machine whose screensaver is on, and see processes and run new
ones without affecting the X Window system's state at all.

But, this really matters me most for now.  Regarding the
screen saver of Solaris.....does the OS suspend all processes
running on it when the screen saver is activated?
