I am a newbie to <vendor>Websphere</vendor> and I wish to install a Type 4 JDBC driver for MSSQLServer 2000. I downloaded Opta 2000 from Inetsoftware and tried installing it.
But when I do the JNDI lookup for the datasource and invoke getConnection() , I get a SQLException. The driver implements the interfaces as required by Websphere and te userids and password have both been specified properly as per the Websphere documentation. Can anybody point me to a driver that they have used successfully to connect Websphere to MSSQL Server. Can anybody shed some light on this problem?
