Hi
We are unable to redeploy our EntityBeans, without shutdown our server.
Either using the Console or the Deployer tool, the problem is the same.
What happens is that, the application seems to be redeploying ok, but
when it finishes, and we try to access the EJBs from clients, no
modifications are perceived. It is as if we had not changed the
application at all.
Funny thing is that our SessionBeans work fine, we can see the changes
as soon as we redeploy the application, without shuting down the server.
It might have something to do with the manifest files.
Our application is in a .ear file in which there are some ejb.jar files.
The jar file with the EntityBeans (for which the redeploy does not work)
is referenced by most of the other jar files, that contain our
SessionBeans. The other jar files themselves are not referenced by anyone.
So:
Session Beans jar files -> Entity Bean jar file
no one -> Session Beans jar files

We recently learned that, in WL7.0, we can't redeploy a single ejb.jar
file in a .ear, without redeploying the whole application. That came as
a huge disappointment, because from what we could tell from the
documentation, WL claims that it is possible.
Anyway, we are redeploying our entire application (around 200
entityBeans and 100 SessionBeans, so far, in the varios jar files). We
hope we can at least see the changes to the EJBs, because shutdown and
rebooting the server in every change is becoming a huge burden.

Thanks
